Welcome to our new blog! Here, we’ll explore topics related to philanthropy, the school itself, and the students, faculty, and staff who comprise the school. Our first priority though is something different. We’re answering the question ‘Why a blog?’
The blog is our way of sharing interesting and relevant information in an easy-to-read format. It’s not a one-way street though. We hope that you’ll engage with the blog and find resources and information useful to you. We look forward to hearing about your opinions or what kind of content you’re most interested in. We’ll ask questions of you and we hope you’ll do the same for us.
The second is, how to find and follow the blog? Well, the easiest way is to subscribe (just enter your email address and hit the “Subscribe” button to the right). We’ll send you updates of when a new blog is published.
You can also like us on Facebook and LinkedIn and follow us on Twitter to see updates when a new post is available. We also welcome comments and hope that you’ll respond to our posts in the section below.
This is the first in a three-part series on Blogging at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. We’ll go more in depth about blogging on philanthropy and the school itself over the coming week. After that, we’ll jump right in to stories about students returning back to school, faculty presenting research in various kinds of settings, and how alumni are utilizing tools learned here in their professional lives.
The best part? You’ll have the opportunity to interact with them and ask questions about their classroom experiences, their research, and those very same tools. We hope you’ll take that opportunity and join us.
Abby Rolland is the blog content coordinator for the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.
